There are approximately 2,000 days between birth and the first day of kindergarten. Identifying developmental delays or opportunities to improve on a child’s social and emotional development is crucial during these early years of life.
The Ages and Stages Questionnaire-3 (ASQ-3) is a low-cost, reliable tool for screening infants as early as 2 months and young children up to for developmental delays during the crucial first 5 years of life. Parents are the experts when using this tool. If the screening shows any delays, the coordinator is able to provide additional resources for the child, their family and the provider.
